Angling History and Achievements:

Started fishing at around the age of six with my Dad showing me the ropes. It was probably a roach that I caught on that first day its that long ago I can't remember now. As the years moved on my Dad became the secretary of a club water and that's where I saw my first carp on the bank. I was hooked. The following weekend I was set up with one rod watching a fairy liquid bottle top dangling on the line willing it to rise. I was lucky enough to have a twenty pound carp from that lake all those years ago. I had about ten years out of the fishing world and boy had things moved on when I did come back. There was about two years or so on day ticket waters and the bug was really starting to bite. I managed to obtain access to a private lake in the south of England (legally) where I got amongst some descent fish. I`d heard so much about a local lake to me that I had to try to get a ticket. After two years of pestering the life out of the owner I finally got my ticket to the Essex Manor. I was finally in pursuit of the famous Amphibian aka "The Annie", but little did I realise what other awesome carp would grace my net before I got my hands on the main prize.

Most memorable angling moment:

It has to be catching the Amphibian simply because of all the hard work I put into catching her. I only get thirty six hours a week if I'm lucky, so I would try to walk around the lake a couple of times a week, to bait up and to watch the water as much as possible. It just shows you get out what you put in.
