BCDC Masters Final 26th October 2011 Hosted by the Belgian Surfcasting Club the final promised to become again a well-organized tournament with a sportive battle in all categories. Thanks to sponsors like Zziplex, Tackle Specialist Antwerp, Ultima UK , Blakdogtackle.com, Buys Hengelsport and Zeehengelsportmagazine we were able to give all participants a price. The weather was very good with a sunny day and about 15 degrees. Pity the wind was absent and therefore it was hard to get any decent distance. Category A: 200m+ With Danny performing at UKSF master finals, the battle for Belgian Champion was open between Didier and Kris. All others could only go for the third place in best case. In the end Ruud Beunder from Holland managed to have a 219.66m which gave him this 3rd place in the final ranking putting Erik out of the podium. Didier and Kris both had 217m cast and this meant Didier was sure to be Belgian Champion 2011. Further it was great to have some daycasters from France. Both JP and André performed impressive with both a best distance of 230m+. Category B: 160-200m Here Franky was in the lead but had several contestants who could still hold him from the win. Franky could not get further than a 176m and Danny got 180+ cast. In the end it was not enough for Danny and so Franky became the winner in this category. This promising category had several newcomers doing exceptionally well, Joachim did 199m and Philip did 195m in their second tournament. They will surely be fighting for the win in this category in 2012. Category C: <160m Here newcomer Geoffrey started the season with buying materials and ended up with an average of 206m. Clearly this gave him the win although Wim and Rudolf did very well indeed in their first season. So in 2012, Geoffrey will go to the big boys in Category A while Wim and Rudolf will fight for a win in Category B. We ended our finals with a delicious diner, and of course thanks to the sponsors.
