IADA Irish Feeder Championships 21st September 2011 The inaugural IADA Irish Feeder Championships took place on Lough Muckno over the weekend of the 17th and 18th of September. The guaranteed €1000 first prize attracted some of the sports top names from across Ireland and the UK. After a weekend of fierce competition, it was England's Dave Winsor who won the championship and over €1500, followed closely in second position by Paul White, also from England. In third place and leading Irish angler was Ultima's Cathal Hughes. Cathal used an Ultima .10 prototype braid in conjunction with 5lb Power Plus® shockleader over the two days to catch a mixed bag of roach, skimmers and perch. Cathal said: “What a brilliant match this has turned out to be, with just short of 70 anglers competing, this match has already become one of the big ones to win on the Irish circuit. I'm a little disappointed to have fallen short, but you have to hand it to Dave, he fished brilliantly, winning his section on both days to fully deserve the title and all that lovely cash!” Clones Report Ultima consultant Cathal Hughes wins the prestigious Clones Festival.
