Angling History and Achievements: Dozens of open match wins on a variety of venues, 3rd in the junior nationals in 1993, won every section on way to reaching the supercup final with Chestnut Pool in 2007. Won ever honour available at Shefford DAA where I learnt my trade as a match angler. PB's include Carp to 33lbs, Roach, Rudd and Perch to nearly 31lbs, Tench to 8lbs, 12 oz, also a fully qualified NFA coach.
Most memorable angling moment: 3rd out of 500 anglers in the junior national, winning my first ever match at Broom Lake, First 100lb match weight at Chestnut Pool and winning my lake at 2007 semi of the supercup at Colemans Cottage.
Favourite Venues: Chesnut Pool Fishery, Longs Lake - RAF Bassingbourne and Damsel Lake - Manor Farm Fishery.
Future plans / Venues you would like to fish: Cross Drove Fishery, Boddington Reservior. I am always looking for new methods and styles of fishing in order to improve myself. Would like to make a career in the angling industry.
Favourite Ultima products: Power Silk, since using it I have had more bites and landed bigger fish. It's strength and resistance to abrasion has put more fish in the net, awesome stuff.
Favourite rigs: Any Rig that catches fish!! I love fishing shallow for Carp and in the margins for a 'lump'.
Favourite bait: Maggots as they catch anything that swims, also enjoy fishing the paste for carp and pellit for... |

People I would most like to meet: Alan Scotthorne in order to find out how he managed to stay at the top for so long. I would like to meet anyone who can improve me as an angler.
Favourite TV programmes: News and Sport, got lots of time for Blackadder too.
Favourite music: Rock music and anything before the 90's, can't stand House, Dance etc. It's just noise!!
Other sports: Cricket, Rugby Union, shooting and anything to do with the country side.
Likes: Real ale, football and a curry.
Dislikes: Soaps! Oh and Arsenal too! |
