Angling History and Achievements: As a youth I won the Glaway Course Angling Cub Legue in 1983, 1984 and 1985 and went on to represent Ireland as a junior youth international. I was the first Irish junior to win the Irish Youth Championship in 1985, 1986 and 1987. I have fished in Belgium with the Irish Youth Team in the Youth World Chmpionships. I captained the junior team in 1987 when the World Championships was on the River Inny in Ireland.
I represented Ireland in the senior team in the Home Internationals on the River Bann in Northern Ireland.
Other achievements include Belturbet Festival Winner 2005; Browning Tingrith Terry Freeman Memorial Runner Up 2003; Lawn Farm 4 Man Team Winners 2004, 2005; Angling Times Super Cup Southern Region Winners at Coleman's Cottage 2007; 3rd Place on Lough Muckno, Co Monaghan, 2009 plus many open match wins on Chestnut Pool including Runner Up Evening Series.
Came 10th in the Fresh Water World Championships and 10th overall on Lough Mask Co. Mayo, Ireland.
Most memorable angling moment: Qualifying for the first time for the Irish Youth Team and winning the Belturbet Festival.
