Angling History and Achievements: Have fished since the age of 10 and can remember my first fish, a tiny cod caught off Stevenston Slip on a Woolies spinning rod. Moved on a wee bit since then and have won numerous opens and leagues over the years. Represented Scotland at six World Championship Events, NorthWest Sea Angling League Champion (twice), various open events.
Most memorable angling moment: Being asked to represent Scotland at world championships in Portugal in 2003, on the back of my recent open results. Winning the Daiwa pairs in 2005, Winning the Saltcoats Open (The White Horse) against an entry of over 1500 anglers.
Favourite Venues: NE Scotland rock edges (Arbroath), Port Carlisle, The Magrini in Sardinia, The Dingle Peninsular in Ireland.
Future plans / Venues you would like to fish: To win a gold medal for Scotland at the World Championships.
Favourite Ultima products: F1 and Power Carp, both strong dependable lines.
Favourite rigs: Three hook flapper, the most used rig in the world, successful wherever you go.
Favourite bait: Crab, Lugworm, Maddies, Sandeel. |

People I would most like to meet: Joe Calzagie, Ricky Hatton (am a big boxing fan).
Favourite TV programmes: Most sports programmes on telly.
Favourite music: Rock and Indie music, although I have been known to listen to a wee bit of the pipes (The red hot chilli pipers), the celtic blood in me I think.
Other sports: Scuba Diving, Boxing (am a qualified coach), Football.
Likes: Relaxing in a hot bath after a hard days fishing. Bait bans.
Dislikes: Cheating and people who just can’t help but bend the rules, if your gonna win do it on an even playing field.
