Angling History and Achievements: I've fished from about five or six on the River Medway for eels and flounders until I moved to Dover where the only place you find me would be on one of local piers, then I moved to Grimsby where I got more into match fishing. I have had some good results in some major opens:- two 2nd's and a 3rd in the SAMF Masters, two 1st and 2nd in the NFSA Guernsey finals, a 1st and 2nd in the WITHRENSEA Open, 1st in the FOLKESTONE angling center open, 1st in the CLACTON open, 1st and 2nd in the BLACKPOOL cod champs, 1st in the Fleetwood open, 5th in the BRIDLINGTON two day open with two 1st,two 2nd and two 3rd in the four man team. I have fished for the SAMF team where for the team I think we won every time and for myself a 1st a 2nd and a 4th. Also I fish for a sea league team ULTIMA NORTH WALES where over the years we have won five times and had a 2nd. I have represented TEAM ENGLAND on 13 occasions 10 for the home international team and three for the world international team.
Most memorable angling moment: First time fishing for my country along with having my youngest son and myself representing our country at the same time.
Favourite Venues: Anywhere there's lots for fish when match fishing, apart from that North Wales, Devon, Filey.
Future plans / Venues you would like to fish: There's not many juniors fishing now so I'd like to see a way of getting a few out on the beach.
Favourite Ultima products: F1, Powerflex, Power Steel.
Favourite rigs: All that catch fish up and down and the flapper.
Favourite bait: Black and white, crab. |
