Angling History and Achievements: World Championships.
I have represented Wales on thirteen occasions in the world championships. In 1994 I was a member of the Welsh team that won team bronze in Belgium. In 1997 I won individual and team gold in the world championships in Dover. In 1998 and 2002 I was a member of the Welsh team that won silver in Germany and Belgium respectively. In 2006 I was a member of the Welsh team that won gold in Portugal. In 2009, I won individual silver and team bronze in the world championships in Montenegro.
I have won the Penn sea league twice and the Penn final once.
In 2004 I won the ISAC southern premier league and in 2007 I won the Irish winter beach championships. I have also had significant success in the Magrini competition which is held in Italy. My best result in this competition was 4th in 2008.
Most memorable angling moment: Catching my first fish a Mackeral. At the age of 17 I caught an11lb bass.
I have caught two twenty pound plus cod. Catching shark off the beach in Namibia and winning the team and individual world champs in 1997.
Favourite Venues: Chesil Beach, the River Mersey, Stout Point, Newton Point, and Talacre in North Wales.
Future plans / Venues you would like to fish: To try and qualify for future world champs and to fish the Magrini competition in May
Favourite Ultima products: F1 main line excellent casting and very strong. Powerflex leader line for leaders and trace bodies ties neat knots and has excellent knot strength.
Favourite rigs: The one to do the job. Normally three above the lead clipped down.
Favourite bait: Crab, sandeel, mackeral and worms. |

Favourite music: The Rolling Stones and The Clash.
Other sports: Football and darts.
Likes: Fishing, good food, holidays and good weather.
