Angling History and Achievements: I Started sea angling aged 9, joined the Humber SAC and have been a member ever since. I began to travel further afield to matches when I passed my driving test, in addition to local club matches and opens. I have fished many matches on both the West and East coasts of England, North Wales and the Isle of Man, achieving zone/section or overall placings in many of these.
Most memorable angling moment: Achieving my first club match win, aged 10 with a 12oz flounder. What a 10 year old would do with the Sheep-skin car seat cover I won, I have no idea!
Catching 5 tope in one tide on the Isle of Man.
Favourite Venues: Lincolnshire beaches in the summer, the smoothound fishing there improves every year, with fish up to 20ld being regularly caught. Anywhere where you can catch good numbers of dogfish.
Future plans / Venues you would like to fish: To be able to get to more matches, work at the moment prohibits my fishing on Sundays!
Favourite Ultima products: F1, 100% reliable, fantastic knot strength and abrasion resistance, low diameter hard wearing line, that has never let me down. Powerflex tapered shock leaders, I find these ideal for use with light lines on a fixed spool.
Favourite rigs: 3 hooks clipped above the lead, tied with 70lb clear powerflex. This rig is quick and easy to use and is not prone to tangling.
Favourite bait: whatever catches the most fish! |

Favourite music: Seasick Steve, Super Furry Animals, Echo & The Bunnymen.
Other sports: Dait digging!!
Likes: Guinness, angling weekends away, sleeping.
Dislikes: Anglers who leave discarded bait wrappers, line_etc on pegs/beaches. Tomatoes.
