Angling History and Achievements: Started sea fishing on the south coast as a boy and moved to freshwater angling in my teens. In 1975 after leaving the Navy I took up Carp fishing and have been lucky to have fished most of the famous Colne Valley pits including Savay, Cons., and the Fisheries. I have caught UK fish to 42 and French fish to 48, but am still hunting a UK 40+ common, my current best being 37=14.
Most memorable angling moment: Catching my first 30+ carp from Savay in 1980 in the company of Rod Hutchinson and Andy Little.
Favourite Venues: Colne Valley Pits.
Plans for 2008 / Venues you would like to fish: I will be concentrating on a new syndicate in Essex as well as regular trips to the Fisheries and various venues in France.
Favourite Ultima products: It's got to be Power Carp, it just gives you complete confidence.
Favourite rigs: As simple as possible.
Favourite bait: Elite.
People you would most like to meet: Richard Branson and Alan Sugar..
Favourite TV programmes: Top Gear and Masterchef.
Favourite music: From Pink Floyd to Puccini.
Other sports: Sailing and golf.
Likes: Red wine, Havana cigars and Chelsea FC.
Dislikes: Spods, marker floats and the people who annoy me with them.
