Angling History and Achievements: I started sea angling at 9, I joined the Humber Sac and have been a member ever since. I began to travel further a field when I passed my driving test in the last few years in addition to local clubs and open matches. I have fished matches on the east and west coasts as well as North Wales, achieving zone/section or overall placings in many of these.
Most memorable angling moment: Winning my first prize aged 10 with a 12oz Flounder, what a 10 year old would do with 1 sheep skin car seat cover I have no idea!
Catching 5 Tope on tide on the Isle of Man.
Favourite Venues: Lincolnshire beaches in the summer, the smooth hound sifhin improves every year with fish to 20lb caught.
North Wales and Anglesey for the wide variety of species and types of venue.
Plans for 2008 / Venues you would like to fish: Looking forward to fishing Ramsey Angling Festival, Isle of Man in May and hopefully a trip back in June to fish for more Tope.
I would like to fish a few more matches around the country work permitting.
Favourite Ultima products: F1 Black- 100% reliable, fantastic knot strength and abrasion resistance, low diameter, hard wearing line that has never let me down.
Favourite rigs: 3 Hooks clipped above the lead, tied with 70lb clear Powerflex. This rig is quick and easy to use and not prone to tangling.
Favourite bait: Depends on the venue/species.
People you would most like to meet: -
Favourite TV programmes: Weather forecast and anything that grabs my attention.
Favourite music: I enjoy a variety of music.
Likes: Guinness, angling weekends away, to meet up with my friends from around the country, sleeping.
Dislikes: Anglers whon leave bait wrappers, discarded line etc behing after fishing. Tomatoes.
