The company also follows a strict policy of accurate labelling on all their products. We know how good our products are and we don’t feel the inclination to exaggerate them. Tested to be the best
 Ultima is unique in that we are totally dedicated to the line business. Over recent years Ultima have worked very hard to make its products the best on the market in all sectors. Ultima’s comprehensively equipped laboratory contains all the sophisticated machinery necessary for testing not only linear strength and knot strength but also abrasion resistance, softness, UV resistance, sinking rates, water absorption and the effects of saltwater, elongation deformation and temperature change. Not only can Ultima prove what their lines can actually do, they also use it to test the rest of the competition on the market, just to make sure Ultima products stay one step ahead of the pack. Ultima have invested over £100,000 in this facility which confirms the importance they give to this sort of information.
Innovation is the Key
 The dedication to be the best is the prime motivation at Ultima. The launch of Power Plus, the first true hi tec reel line, last year was an unprecedented success. Now a new sister product for poles and rigs is about to hit the market. Power Match has been designed to deliver the highest levels of performance possible in a competition line. We have testest everything else out there and there is nothing that comes close. Some other remarkable innovations in recent years include a hexagonal hollow line called Flocast which has anti twist properties and is high flating and Hard Core the super Hard Monofilament that is so tough it can replace wire for snoods and traces. Ultima are constantly working to devlop better and better products for the future.

Diameter & Breaking Strain:
We tell it like it is
 Ultima follows a strict policy of accurate information on their products. When you buy an Ultima product you can be sure of one thing. It does exactly what it says on the label.
Many brands have taken the deliberate step to misrepresent the information they put on their labels, exagerating breaking strain by up up to 70% and understating diameter by up to 50%. This is a very dangerous thing for an angler his lime may be a lot weaker than is necessary causing snap offs and lost fish.
With mistated diameter some well known lines are up to 70% thicker than they claim. Think at what sort of effect this has on your presentation.
Field Testing
 Ultima run three permanent field testing groups of top Carp, Match and Beach. Sixty anglers who day in day out constantlty test Ultima products and prototypes in the field. This information is invaluable to ensure our products work. We know how good we are in lab tests but it is critical that Ultima products perform in the field.
International Success
 Ultima products have been used at international level by the winners of more World Individual and Team Championships than any other line in recent years. Yet again the winners of the world surfcating championship in 2006 were all using Ultima.
Future Development
At Ultima we are never satisfied. New products coming out recently like Power Plus and Power Match are at the forefront of technnelogical development and are ahead of anything else on the market, but we are still constantly reasearching and devloping to improve existing products and develop better ones. We are dedicated to remaining the best.
